What the swell looked like at creation
SE Papa Buoy

This swell was a 305 degree swell in the tail of the Aleutians. It crossed the Aleutian landmass and broke up. Fetch was long and wide briefly, but pressure was unimpressive. The swell rolled in on top of a local low complete with lightning. After 18 hours, the swell bumped up from 6 ft 17 to 7 ft 14 for most of the first day. There may have been a little wind shear involed in the first 18 hours. A second swell chased this on right into town as seen above.
